We recommend that you register as soon as possible to secure your place. Early registration helps us order the appropriate amount of seats, materials, and food. The discounted early registration fee is available until February 15, 2024.

Although we highly encourage that you register early, you may register on-site starting at 7:30 a.m. that day of the conference at the conference venue.

  • We encourage you to send a substitute if you cannot attend.
  • A full refund of registration fees, less a $50 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing to  strconf@ku.edu and received at-least three weeks prior to the event. No refunds will be made after that date.
  • A $35 fee also will be charged for returned checks.

KU CEAE reserves the right to cancel the Annual Environmental Conference and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits

The conference will be held at the University of Kansas Memorial Union located on the KU Lawrence campus, 1301 Jayhawk Blvd, Lawrence, KS 66045. The event will take place on 5th floor of the Union. If you enter from the garage, from Level 4 of the garage, go across the sky-walk.  This will take you to 2nd floor of the Union. The conference will commence on 5th floor of the Union.  Stairs and elevator are located in the corridor.

Registration and Continental Breakfast will be available at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the conference. The conference begins at 8:15 a.m. in Woodruff Auditorium, Level 5 of the Kansas Memorial Union. Please allow adequate time for parking and to pick up your registration materials.

The Structural Engineering Conference offers a total of 6.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH).  Full attendance is required for PDH certification.  The PDH certification is not available for retirees nor students.

Within two weeks after the conference, a digital certificate will be emailed to the address you provide during registration.

We accommodate persons with disabilities. Please review Accessible KU and notify of accommodation needs during advanced registration.  To ensure accommodation, please register at least three weeks before the start of the program.

We anticipate more than 200 participants of diverse professional backgrounds, including:

  • Personnel who work on design of structures, bridges and tunnels
  • County and municipal engineers
  • Consulting engineers
  • Materials suppliers and steel manufacturers
  • State, county, township and municipal officials
