Graduate FastTrac Program
Exceptionally well-qualified baccalaureate degree holders (3.75 gpa
or above) may be directly accepted into a civil engineering doctoral
program and sidestep master's degree requirements for the doctorate.
Benefits of the FastTrac Ph.D. program can include:

Graduate Fellowship
Doctoral students may qualify for the highly competitive and
prestigious Self Graduate Fellowship at the University of Kansas.
The Self Fellowship is a four-year award that provides a $23,000
annual stipend, plus tuition and fees and a professional development
program. Self Fellows are chosen for their career aspirations,
foresight, accomplishments, capacity to establish and achieve goals,
leadership drive, and work habits. In addition, Self Fellows exhibit
ambition and dedication for accomplishment and continuous
scholarship, and commit to partake in the Fellow Development
Program. Recipients must be U.S. citizens. More information on the
