Graduate Advising
The Department's graduate adviser handles all the CEAE graduate
degree programs' admissions and final degree checks. But once
admitted and matriculated you will request a specific
course/research adviser, or one will be suggested by the graduate
adviser. Your course/research adviser will guide your research or
project and assist you with course selection.
Your course/research adviser, as well as the other faculty in the
department, will be available to you on the KU Lawrence campus.
Through class time, office hours, formal meetings, informal
discussions, and laboratory work, you will have many contact hours
with your KU CEAE professors.
Full and Part-Time Study
Full-time study is encouraged whenever possible, however many
students complete their degree requirements part-time. Some evening
courses, especially in civil engineering, are offered at the KU Edwards Campus in Overland
Park. The tuition and fees for the Edwards Campus are different than
for the Lawrence campus.
Course Descriptions
CEAE's courses are listed in the Graduate Catalog and the KU
Timetable of classes with "ARCE", "CE, and "CMGT" prefixes. Course
